Ghyda Kanaan Studio is an interior and collectible furniture design studio creating refined residential and hospitality spaces with a distinct, high-end aesthetic. After completing her Master's degree in Interior Design in Milan, Ghyda Kanaan began collaborating with private clients and design studios in Boston, Miami, and New York before later expanding her practice to Beirut and later establishing the studio's current base in Madrid. The work is shaped by an international perspective, blending European refinement with Middle Eastern depth, warmth, and craftsmanship.
With over seven years of experience in luxury interiors and bespoke furniture design, Ghyda Kanaan Studio approaches each project through a strong architectural and artistic lens. The interiors are bold, layered, and deeply atmospheric, defined by rich materials, sculptural forms, and unexpected contrasts that bring individuality and presence to a space.
Alongside the studio's interior work, Ghyda Kanaan also designs sculptural furniture pieces conceived as functional art objects rather than purely decorative furnishings. Defined by striking silhouettes, bold proportions, and a strong material presence, each piece is designed to stand independently as a statement within a space.

Berytus pays homage to the forgotten grandeur of Roman Beirut, once known as Berytus, a city where law, architecture, and civic life flourished. Its colonnaded streets, forums, and baths shaped not only the urban fabric but also the cultural identity of the region.
Today, much of that legacy lies buried beneath concrete and glass, faint echoes of an empire silenced by the pace of modernity. This piece reimagines those hidden layers, transforming them into a vessel for memory. The cabinet embodies the fragments and secrets of a city that remembers more than it reveals, holding the quiet tension between what is seen and what is concealed.
In its closed state, Berytus stands as a contemporary interpretation of a Roman column, solid, architectural, and quietly monumental, acting as a sculptural presence within the space. When opened, however, the piece undergoes a transformation. Revealing an illuminated bar within, it unfolds from a singular architectural object into a source of warmth and gathering, casting light outward into the room. This transition from enclosed monument to radiant interior mirrors the act of uncovering Beirut's buried histories, bringing hidden narratives back into view and allowing them to once again occupy the present.
